Frothy Banana Milk

Even though I don't drink cows milk anymore I still like having a rich creamy warm drink every now and then, especially in the wintertime. I've been juice cleansing for four days now, and was craving almond milk but with a little more spice and richness, so then it came to me to add the banana and cinnamon.

Bananas are one of my favorite fruits and they taste good hot or cold. They are great to blend and drink when on a juice cleanse because they are filled with potassium, high in vitamin B6 (which will provide you with energy), high in vitamin C, high in fiber (to keep you feeling fuller longer), and have no cholesterol. The only downside to bananas is they are high in sugar, but it is natural sugar, and that is better for the body than refined or processed sugar. Fruits naturally contain sugar, and this doesn't make them bad to eat or bad for you. They just have to be eaten in moderation, like everything else in your diet.

When you heat up this mixture it becomes so frothy and creamy. This frothy banana milk, is heaven in a cup!

One Serving

  • 1 1/2 unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Blend the banana and almond milk until smooth. Place banana almond milk mixture in a saucepan over med-low heat, and whisk in the cinnamon until well combined. After about 3-4 minutes the mixture should be frothy and hot. Pour into cup and enjoy!
