Citrus Carrot Juice

Why have I decided to begin a 7-day juice cleanse? Well, for starters I have gotten to a point where I feel weighed down by food. I need to reboost my energy level. I also have been stressed lately, so this will help detoxify my body from cortisol, a harmful toxin that is released under stress.

It's getting closer to spring, and I want to feel rejuvenated and refreshed. The longest cleanse I've done is 3 days, so this one will be 4 days longer, which in a way is better, because doing a 3 day cleanse is hard. The first 3 days are always the hardest, so I'm sure the last 4 will fly by.

I always buy juices and look at restaurants juice recipes. That's how I was inspired to make this citrus carrot juice. I like to have lemon, grapefruit juice, or orange juice in the morning to help get my metabolism started.

**Use all organic ingredients while juicing for optimum results, or as many organic ingredients as you possibly can!**

Ingredients:

One Serving 

  • 2 naval oranges (peeled)
  • 4 carrots
  • 2 inches of fresh ginger
  • 1 small lemon

Put all ingredients in your juicer, and serve with ice cubes for a refreshing drink! Enjoy!
